Peoria man pistol whipped, robbed

PEORIA, Ill. -- Police are looking for suspect information after a Peoria man was pistol whipped and robbed early Tuesday.

Police spoke to the victim, who said he was walking in the 1600 block of S. Lydia Ave. at approximately 1:20 a.m. when an unknown male came up behind him.

The victim said that the subject was a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a bandanna over his face. The victim was then struck in the face and robbed of his shoes, phone, bus pass and $10 in cash.

There are no suspects at this time. The victim suffered minor facial injuries.
