Peoria man robbed at gunpoint by two unknown suspects

PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Peoria man that occurred at 4717 N. Knoxville on Sunday.

Police responded to the address on a shots fired call. Officers spoke to the 21-year-old victim who said that he had arranged to meet his cousin.

The victim said that he went to get into a van and was pulled out of the vehicle by two suspects, one armed with a revolver. The suspects took the victim's shoes and coat and then fled the scene southbound on Knoxville in a pick up truck.

The victim thinks his cousin could have been involved in setting up the robbery. The victim also said that no shots were fired.

Officers are still investigating this incident.
