Peoria man robbed at gunpoint while walking to girlfriend's house

PEORIA, Ill -- Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Peoria man that took place in the 600 block of E. Nebraska Avenue early Thursday morning.

The victim said he was walking from his residence on the 1000 block of Nebraska to his girlfriends on the 300 block of Nebraska at approximately 12:50 p.m.

The victim said that a crossover/hybrid vehicle pulled in front of him and let a subject out. The victim told police he was unsure of the vehicles' make and model.

The suspect approached the victim with a silver revolver and demanded unknown items from him. The victim turned over those items and the suspect fled back to the vehicle.

The victim went to his girlfriend's house and called the police.

Officers do not know who the suspect is, but the victim says that he can identify the suspect if he were to see him again.

This case is still under investigation.
