PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria man was robbed in his home on the 1800 block of N. Indiana Avenue by three armed men Wednesday night, police say.
Officers spoke to the victim, who said at approximately 8 p.m., he heard a knock at the door. When he opened the door, a black male was standing outside asking to use the phone.
The suspect then drew a handgun and the victim pulled the door shut and tried to get the gun away from the suspect. The victim said that the other two suspect kicked the door down. All three suspects were armed.
The suspects took approximately $40 from the suspect and then fled Northbound on Indiana.
The victim said that all three suspects were wearing all black with black ski masks.
Police are still investigating the robbery.
