PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria man was sentenced Thursday to 75 years in prison for killing a convenience store owner in March 2010.

Keith A. Little, 22, was convicted in October for the death of Abdallah Kattoum, the owner of Peoria Food Stop, 728 E. Frye Avenue.

Kattoum was shot and killed during a botched robbery of the business. Little was arrested in July of 2010 after a .38 caliber revolver belonging to him was linked to the shooting.

Little's cousin, Marcus Alexander, was originally charged with the murder. The case against him was dropped after Little refused to take the stand against him and told prosecutors he was lying about Alexander's involvement. Alexander is currently in prison on drug charges.
