PEORIA, Ill -- Police are searching for suspects after a Peoria man was shot in the right buttock early Wednesday morning.
The victim told police that he and two of his friends were talking home from The Circle K on University towards his home on the 1200 block of Virginia. As they were walking, the victim said he heard several gunshots and ran across the street, hiding behind Loucks School.
It was then that he felt pain in his leg and realized that he had been shot. A friend of his picked him and one of his friends up, the other they lost track of during the shooting.
The victim thought that the shooting was coming from an alley between Virginia and McClure, but he was not sure. He did not know who would want to shoot at him.
