PEORIA, Ill -- Police say that a Peoria man was shot after a bullet passed through a residence on the 2000 block of W. Ann Street.

Officers were told the location of the crime by the 20-year-old victim. Upon arrival, police found two shell casings outside of the home.

Authorities found a bullet hole in the residence on Ann Street and were able to determine that the bullet passed through a wall on the west side of the building, through the sink, and into the victim's buttock.

Police said that there were still a lot of people at the residence and that they were generally uncooperative.

However, police spoke to one witness who said that she saw two black males fleeing westbound after the shots were fired.

The victim was treated at Methodist Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
