PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria police are once again reminding residents to lock their cars.

The police department says there's been a rash of vehicle burglaries in the Richwoods area of Peoria.

This is the second time this month the area has been hit by a large amount of burglaries.

This time the area includes McClure Avenue between Knoxville and University, and the neighborhoods bordering War Memorial Drive, Northmoor, and University.

Peoria Police encourage residents in those areas to be extra vigilant, and ask anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 673-9000.
