PEORIA, Ill. -- The city of Peoria is rolling out a brand new website.
Tuesday night, design company CSE Software gave council members an overview of the new site, www.peoriagov.org
CSE Software employees said they used the Illinois Policy Institute website transparency checklist to help create the site.
Some of the highlights include an updated look, increased ease of navigation for citizens and staff friendly.
Peoria mayor Jim Ardis said an updated website is long overdue, "For regular users, it's going to be a huge change just because of the ease of navigation. For people that haven't been there before, they're not going to know how much better it is, but it's going to be much easier to maneuver around and get information."
The website is already live, soon website visitors to the old site will be re-directed to the new one.
