PEORIA, Ill. -- It has a strange name and it looks a little weird but "yarn bombing" is all the rage today on the Peoria art scene.

Members of the Prairie Fiber Arts Guild adorned some prominent sculptures this week.

Preston Jackson's piece entitled 'In Memory of the River People' and Nita Sunderland's 'Cedric the Dragon' are now covered with yarn.

Members of the guild said the goal is to bring attention to the art. They said the artists don't seem to mind.
