PEORIA, Ill -- A Peoria woman says that she was robbed at gunpoint at a bus stop on the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue on Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the scene and spoke to the 22-year-old victim, who said that she was standing at the bus stop when she saw an unknown male walk out of an alley near Warren and Mathew.

The victim said that the suspect walked by and behind her before approaching with a handgun that he drew from his right jacket pocket.

The victim took items that were unlisted in the Peoria police report and fled back towards the alley he emerged from.

The suspect was described to police as being 21 to 25 years of age, 5'09 and 150 to 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket, a dark hoodie, jeans and brown boots.
