Pinnacle Foods recalling frozen pancakes

PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- A popular breakfast item has been voluntarily recalled due to possible soy allergy reactions. 

Pinnacle Foods said the recall covers certain Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes that may contain a soy protein, which could be harmful to consumers who have an allergy to soy.     

The company discovered the possibility that products containing soy protein may have been produced using the same equipment.

The recall applies only to Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes packaged in cardboard cartons with recommended use dates between November 1, 2011 and October 16, 2012.

There have been no reports so far of illnesses.
