PEORIA, Ill -- Police are investigating the strong armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver that occurred on Wednesday night.
Police spoke to the 53 year-old victim, who said he was making a delivery on the 300 block of Arcadia Avenue at around 9:50 p.m.
While the victim was making his delivery, he said that he was being yelled at by two men from across the street at 304 E. Arcadia.
The victim said he asked the recipient of the pizza to keep an eye on him as he returned to his vehicle as he felt unsafe.
The victim told police that he returned to his vehicle and was hit from behind. The two suspects took pizza from him and fled south.
The witness said that he did not see the actual attack, but heard to commotion and went to assist the victim.
There are no known suspects in this crime.
