CHICAGO, Ill -- Chicago police have arrested the man they believe killed a Peoria native this weekend.

Timothy McShane, 42, of Park Ridge faces a number of charges, including DUI and reckless homicide.

Around 5 p.m. Saturday, McShane allegedly hit and killed Shane Stokowski. 33, in Chicago's West Town neighborhood.

Witnesses say it looked like Stokowski may have been trying to stop a drunk driver seconds before he was hit.
