PEORIA, Ill -- A Peoria man was beaten and robbed by three men while walking home from a friend's house on Sunday, police say.
Officers spoke to the 36 year-old victim at the 2100 block of W. Starr Street at approximately 9 p.m. The victim told officers that he was walking home from a friend's house when he heard someone running up to him from behind.
The victim said that a suspect grabbed his arm and told him not to run. The victim said that two other suspects attacked him from behind and took his wallet and phone.
The victim was transported to Methodist Medical Center with a possible broken nose. There are no known suspects in this robbery.
