Police investigate home invasion on Morgan Street

PEORIA, Ill -- Peoria Police are investigating a home invasion that occured in the 500 block of Morgan Street on Wednesday night.

Police spoke to the 68 year-old victim, who said that he was not the homeowner but was invited over to use the homeowner's cable to watch basketball.

The victim said three black men forced their way into the house at 10:10 p.m. One of the men was armed with a revolver and forced the victim into a back room. The suspects then started to ransack the home.

The suspects left the victim unattended so he ran into the basement. The suspects found him again and told him to stay put.

The suspects then continued to ransack the house and then fled the scene.

Officers notified the 61 year-old homeowner, who was out with a girlfriend at the time.

There are no known suspects in this crime.
