PEORIA, Ill -- Peoria police are investigating a home invasion that took place on the 1400 block of S. Stanley Street on Wednesday morning.

Officers spoke to the victim, who said he was home with his girlfriend and two young children when he heard a knock at the door. The victim told officers that he opened the door to find a man with a revolver standing on his porch.

The victim said the man with the gun and another man armed with a knife came into the house. A third man waited outside on the porch. The suspects asked the victim where their money and drugs were.

The victim said that the only thing the suspects took were some cigarettes and a $5 bill off of a nearby table.
