PEORIA, Ill -- Police are investigating the armed robbery of Casey's General Store, 6203 N. Big Hollow Road, that occurred Sunday afternoon.
Officers spoke to the clerk and the cook. The clerk said that at approximately 2:15 p.m., she was returning from the bathroom when she saw the suspect enter the business holding a silver semi-automatic handgun.
The suspect went into the kitchen and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspect between $60 and $80 from the cash register, and the suspect fled.
The suspect was described by both employees as wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, a ski mask and gloves.
The same business was robbed on December 3, 2012. It is unknown if the two incidents are related.
