PEORIA, Ill -- Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that took place Sunday morning on the 700 block of NE Adams Street.
The 36-year-old victim told police that she parked her car at approximately 5:00 a.m. to talk to another person.
When she got out of her car, she was approached by a black male that allegedly asked her if she wanted to buy drugs from him. She declined and the suspect then grabbed his waist saying that he had a gun and would shoot the victim if she did not give him everything she had.
The victim told police she simply got back in her car and drove away from the scene. She later called the police.
Authorities have no known suspects at this time.
