BARTONVILLE, Ill -- Police have arrested a man for the robbery of a Bartonville Bank Wednesday morning.
Bartonville Police Chief Brian Fengel says 30-year-old Curtis Beeney was arrested this afternoon about 4 o'clock, five hours after the bank on West Garfield Avenue was robbed.
A witness had spotted what was described as a burgundy Ford Crown Victoria leaving the scene and recorded the license plate number.
Beeney was arrested by the Peoria County Sheriff's Office and the FBI after a traffic stop on Dirksen Parkway.
Fengel says some money was recovered.
Beeney is expected to be arraigned in Federal Court later this week.
