PEORIA, Ill. -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one man with injuries on Tuesday.
Officers spoke to the victim, who said he was walking in the 100 block of Fowler St. The victim said that he walked by two men.
The men began to chase him, and the victim said that he turned and saw that one of the suspects was wielding a shotgun.
The victim said that he turned and was shot in the shoulder. The victim ran until he got to the Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing. A nurse threatened to call police, which caused the suspects to fled.
The victim was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
There are no known suspects.
