Police looking for man who fled from attempted traffic stop

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Bloomington Police are looking for a man who fled from officers during an attempted traffic stop.

At 9:30 pm on July 26, police attempted to arrest Edward Jordan, 31, of Bloomington for Delivery of a Controlled Substance during a traffic stop.

Authorities said Jordan, who is on Federal Parole, fled from them in his white SUV. During his escape, his SUV struck another vehicle at the intersection of Lincoln and Main. The SUV then struck a parked vehicle.

Jordan fled the scene on foot and officers were unable to catch him. The driver of the vehicle he hit was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Jordan. Bail has been set at $500,000. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (309) 820-1111.
