Police search for suspects in Monday night home invasion

PEORIA, Ill. -- Police are looking for suspects after two men were robbed in an apartment on the 2900 block of Rockwood Drive on Monday night.

The victims, Eric Allison, 25, and Tracy Burkhardt, 23, said they were playing video games at Allison's apartment at approximately 11:30 p.m.

The victims said that two black males each armed with handguns entered the apartment and told them to get on the ground and empty their pockets.

The suspects took each victim's wallet and phone before fleeing. The victim's told police they saw tail lights heading westbound on Gilbert, but were not sure it was actually the suspect vehicle.

The suspects were both described as black males in their early 20's. One suspect was wearing a blue and grey hooded sweatshirt and the other one was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
