Police searching for teen involved in armed robbery

PEORIA, Ill. -- Police are asking for your help in finding the suspect of an armed robbery.

Authorities say a male teen allegedly pulled out a gun and robbed another man, taking $20.

That was at about 3:45 Saturday afternoon, near 400 East Republic.

The victim was not injured, and the suspect fled the scene.

Police say officers later spotted the suspect in the 2100 of North Wisconsin.

Authorities say he fired a shot at them and ran away, jumping a six foot-high fence.

The suspect is described a black male in his mid to late teens, around 5'5" to 5'10", weighing 120 pounds.

He was wearing a dark hoodie and a light blue baseball cap with white writing and a black bill.
