PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria Police are still searching for a man they believe was the driver in hit-and-run crash that injured two people late last month.

Timothy C. Burkhardt, 25, of Peoria is wanted on felony traffic charges.

He is 5'11" and weighs 150 pounds.

Police say they continue to search for Burkhardt but believe he may be trying to flee the area or may have already done so.

Burkhardt was the alleged driver of a Grand Prix that crashed into a motorcycle, sending the bike and its passengers off the road and into a ravine. He then fled the scene.

The driver of the motorcycle, Theresa Reeder, and a passenger, William Hermann, were transported to a local hospital with multiple injuries.

Burkhardt’s passenger, William Levan of Peoria, has been charged with obstructing police.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Timothy Burkhardt should call Crimestoppers at 673-9000.
