BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- A local food pantry is very thankful for the hard work put in by more than 400 area students.
Over the past weeks, students at Chesterbrook Academy have been collecting non-perishable food items.
Wednesday, the preschoolers delivered that donation to Extreme Motors for the Clare House.
School officials say the food drive teaches the students the value of giving.
"We want to let them know that donating and helping others that are in need is one of the most important things they can do throughout the course of their lives," said Mindy Goodman, executive director for Chesterbrook Academy.
This is the 8th year Chesterbrook has held a food drive for Clare House, collecting more than 2,500 items.
