President Obama calls Boston Marathon bombing "an act of terrorism"

WASHINGTON, DC --On Tuesday, President Obama described the Boston Marathon bombings as "an act of terrorism" and urged Americans to be "vigilant" as investigators search for those behind the blast.

The president went on to say that the American people "refuse to be terrorized" and that "heroism" was evident in the way Boston responded in the wake of the explosions.
