Illinois residents who rely on propane to heat their homes can now apply for assistance.

On Friday, Governor Pat Quinn announced a boost in the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) due to the current propane shortage.

The $75 application fee is also temporarily waived.
