Propane prices fall for a third consecutive week

February 24, 2014 Updated Feb 24, 2014 at 6:53 PM CDT

Residential propane prices have fallen for the three consecutive weeks.

The Midwest average is $3.31 a gallon. That is down 88 cents since the end the January when prices spiked to more than $4.

The price drop is evidence that the propane shortage has begun to settle, but homeowners are still urged to reserve their supplies.
