SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Governor Pat Quinn announced Tuesday that grants totaling $4 million have been awarded by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) to help emergency management agencies throughout Illinois.

Locally, Peoria County is receiving a grant of over $37,000, Tazewell County a grant of almost $42,000 and McLean County is receiving a grant of nearly $49,000.

The Emergency Management Performance Grants are funded through a grant IEMA receives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
