Red Cross is still helping tornado victims

February 8, 2014 Updated Feb 10, 2014 at 10:43 AM CDT

WASHINGTON, Ill. -- It's been nearly three months since tornadoes devastated Washington and two other communities here in central Illinois.

The Red Cross is still hard at work assisting those affected.

With new cases being opened every day and several appointments, the Red Cross feels that it may be more helpful for families if volunteers were closer to their homes.

Red Cross representatives are available from 9am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday, and other times by appointment at the Washington Presbyterian Church at 105 Elm Street in Washington.

You can call (309) 677-7272 for an appointment.
