Related car damage incidents on Trewyn Avenue

PEORIA, Ill. -- Related incidents on Trewyn Avenue left two cars damaged early Sunday morning.

A vehicle owner woke up Sunday morning to find all four of her car tires slashed and the windshield and driver's side window smashed in.

A cement block, which police said they believe was used to damage the car, was sitting on the hood of the vehicle.

The incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday in the 3000 block of W. Trewyn Avenue. The victim noted that she thought she heard something outside the house at around 1 a.m.

Police said that it didn't appear as though the unknown suspect entered the vehicle, and no items were reported missing from the car.

In the 2700 block of W. Trewyn Avenue, a car was found Sunday morning with a rear driver's side window smashed, according to police reports.

It had been parked on the street overnight

The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 9 a.m.

Police believe the two incidents were related.
