Renewed interest in riverfront property

PEORIA, Ill. -- One local real estate developer says there's renewed interest in the riverfront from potential business tenants.

Riverfront village developer Mike Wisdom says the new museum and Caterpillar Visitors' Center are big pieces that will finally complete the redevelopment puzzle. Wisdom says as a result of the projects, other developers are expressing interest in riverfront property.

"The first stage is discussions and we are having discussions again for the first time in a while and where it goes from there, I don't have a crystal ball," said Wisdom.

Wisdom would not name who the interested parties might be, saying right now it's too early in the process.
