CHILLICOTHE, Ill. -- Rescue 33 has a new name and a new board of trustees.

The new name is Ambulance Rescue 33 and the new board is the outgrowth of a series of meetings aimed at getting the ambulance service reinstated.

Rescue 33 had its operating license revoked by the Peoria Area Emergency Medical Services.

As a result of the revocation, basic level service for Chillicothe are being handled by Peoria AMT.

Ambulance Rescue 33 is initially applying for reinstatement as 'basic life support' service, that does not require sophisticated medical therapy while in transit.
