BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Some new residents are now on display at Miller Park Zoo.
Three otter pups, born in February, are now on exhibit with their mom, “Tallulah”.
Their births are rare, averaging only three litters a year nationwide, and a first for the zoo.
“This is a big step for the pups,” explained Jay Tetzloff, Miller Park Zoo Superintendent. “We’re enjoying watching them grow up, and I encourage people to stop by and see them.”
The pups do not yet have names. A chance to name them will be auctioned off in September.
The Miller Park Zoological Society is fundraising for a new exhibit for the family.
