PEORIA, Ill. -- While the Illinois River slowly recedes, business is quickly getting back to normal along Peoria's Riverfront.

Crews spent Friday morning removing sandbags from Martini's located inside the old Riverstation.

One employee said while the flood waters were high outside, luckily there was no damage inside.

"We were an island definitely in the middle of the flood, if you look at the aerials shots we were standing alone. But they did a really good job with the sandbags so really we didn't have much water in here at all, not really any," said Martini's Restaurant bartender, Jamie Lutes.

Martini's is now open for business.

The main parking lot, however, remains closed.
