PEORIA, Ill. -- According to our partners at News Radio 1470, rural transit services in Peoria County will remain in service through the end of June.
Thursday night, the County Board approved two resolutions to provide financial help.
The board approved $140,000 to make sure the service remained intact. An emergency IDOT allotment of $50,000 was also approved for the service.
Board members are also working on a plan to ensure the service continues past June 30.
