CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- With just over a month to go, the Salvation Army's Tree of Lights Campaign has collected 43 percent of its $1.6 million goal.

The Campaign runs through January 31, but red kettle donations will only be accepted through Christmas Eve.

Officials said money is not the only way you can help them reach this year's goal

"We're really encouraging people if they're looking for a way to help our Christmas campaign is to sign up to ring bells either the 23rd or 24th," said Salvation Army Assistant Developmental Director Rich Draeger.

This past Saturday, the Salvation Army hosted their 19th Annual Bears Packers Kettle Challenge.

The Packers won, collecting $314 in their green and yellow kettles.

But for those Bears fans, a rematch is scheduled for Christmas Eve.

Bell ringers will be outside the East Peoria Bass Pro Shops from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
