Santa to make 125th appearance in Peoria's Santa Parade

PEORIA, Ill. -- The 125th annual Santa Claus Parade starts at 10:15 a.m. on Friday at the Central Fire Station on Monroe and Bryan Streets.

It will travel along Main Street, Jefferson Avenue, Liberty Street and Adams Street, before ending at the Peoria County Courthouse.

This year's Grand Marshall is George Manias, owner of George's Shoeshine.

If you plan on watching the parade live, you may want to take along a few extra coats and some canned goods.

That's because the Salvation Army and Midwest Food Bank will be leading the parade, collecting non-perishable food items and donations for the Coats for Kids drive.
