MORRISON, Ill. -- Convicted killer Nicholas Sheley has been sentenced to life in prison again.
In Whiteside County on Wednesday, a judge tacked on an additional 30-year prison term for home invasion and 15 years for the killing of 93-year-old Russell Reed.
This was the end of the second of Sheley's trials. Last year, he received a similar life term for the killing of a Galesburg man.
He still faces trials for the deaths of four people in Rock Falls, Illinois. That trial is set to begin on June 3.
Meanwhile, the state of Missouri wants to try Sheley for two deaths which took place in Festus, Missouri.
