Single car accident kills 34-year-old woman

EAST PEORIA, Ill -- A single vehicle accident claimed the life of a 34-year-old woman on Monday.

Tazewell County Coroner Dr. James Baldi says that vehicle was apparently traveling west bound on Meadows avenue and Pleasant Hill road when it left the roadway and ended up in a ravine.

The victim was the only person in the vehicle.

The Tazewell County Coroner’s office and the East Peoria Police Department will be investigating the crash.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
