PEORIA, Ill. -- Are you ready to go into business for yourself? That was the question during an entrepreneurial workshop on Wednesday.

The event was hosted by SCORE, a nationwide group that offers free business mentoring and more to entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Today's focus was on franchising. The Chairman of SCORE Peoria said it is a great way to start a new business venture.

"The must do to get a franchise up and going is to make a mental decision that you are going to work hard to establish your own business and be in control of your own destiny as you grow your business and expand,” said SCORE Peoria Chairman Bill Axelrod.

SCORE Peoria serves a 10 county radius centered around the city of Peoria.
