PEORIA, Ill. -- Neither snow nor wind nor broken sleigh kept Santa from traveling Friday morning.
Bill Santa was on his way to deliver presents to patients at the Children's Hospital of Illinois, when his "sleigh" broke down near Hanna City.
Luckily, he got a new "sleigh" and was able to deliver the gifts.
This is Bill Santa's 16th year stopping by the hospital, and said each year, he becomes more emotionally invested.
"I don't know who has more fun, the kids or me, you know. It's just, I can't think of a better way to spend Christmas," said Bill Santa.
Bill Santa's helpers make sure each present is personalized to each child.
He said this years donations are in memory of Joshua Pilger and the Newtown victims.
Santa also delivered toys to children at Methodist and Pekin Hospital.
