PEORIA, Ill. -- Guests traveled from house to house this weekend getting a piece of Peoria's Christmas past.
The oldest house in Peoria, The John C. Flannagan House, was one of the four homes shown.
The event included music, along with actors portraying Christmas in the year 1800.
The tours helped raise money for renovations on the historical structures.
"People love Christmas House walks and nothing better than seeing how the other half lived and they get to see it on this one for sure," said John C. Flanagan House Site Manager, Linda Herrin.
The tours seen over 500 visitors raising thousands of dollars for the renovations.
