CANTON, Ill. -- A marathon negotiation session Tuesday night ended with a tentative contract agreement at Spoon River College.
Spoon River faculty and administrators bargained for nine hours Tuesday night. The school's faculty association had approved an intent to strike on January 11. Thirty-four faculty members have been working without a contract since August 2012.
The president of the Spoon River College Faculty Association said she was "pleased" with the deal.
Spoon River teachers are expected to vote on the proposed contract Friday.
