SPRING VALLEY, Ill. -- Autopsy results released today show 17 year old Daniel Lule died of an enlarged heart.

Lule collapsed after a conditioning drill Wednesday at football practice.

The football field at Hall High School sat empty Friday night as the entire community mourned a young life taken too soon.

Head coach Randy Tieman joined hundreds of Hall High students, staff members and the Spring Valley community for a memorial walk.

"Dan was such a great kid, he was liked by everybody. I've never seen him in a bad mood. He was a hard worker. He was in the weight room all the time. He was just a fabulous kid, a pleasure to coach," said Tieman.

A sea of red and white walked from JFK Elementary to Daniel Lule's home a few blocks away.

"This is a close knit town, close knit school. Everybody is here to support each other," Tieman said.

Hundreds lined up to hug his mother and two brothers. Meanwhile the team gathered in front of the home of the teammate who will never return to practice but whose spirit will always live on.

Tieman said, "they have great resilience and I guess they have another purpose, now to have another successful season."

A funeral for Daniel Lule is scheduled for Monday.
