EAST PEORIA, Ill -- Around 50 runners stopped by our East Peoria studios today to take a break and cheer on the rest of the runners behind them.
The team started their race to Peoria yesterday at 8 a-m and they say it's been nothing but excitement getting to the River City.
"It's just non-stop. It's exhilaration. We sleep a little and get out at every segment, we cheer each other on, I mean we just don't stop," said Mattoon runner Carol Floyd.
The Mattoon team raised over 63-thousand dollars this year for St. Jude.
