PEORIA, Ill -- Residents in Central Illinois will soon have another chance to win a new home and help patients at the St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital.

St. Jude board members broke ground Tuesday morning on the seventh St. Jude Dream Home.

This year's home will be located in the Stonehenge subdivision in Peoria. The 2,418 sq. ft. home includes 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a finished basement and a 3 car garage. It is valued at approximately $330,000.

Organizers hope to sell 6,000 dream home tickets and raise $600,000 for the children at St. Jude.

"For those of you who are buying lottery tickets out there and are not having any luck, here's your chance in about one in 6,000 to spend $100 and win about a $400,000 dream home," said Peoria County Sheriff Mike McCoy.

"This is just a great opportunity to become involved with St. Jude. To see what St. Jude does with your dollars. That it does to the treatment and care of kids with cancer and an opportunity for you to win a beautiful new home," McCoy continued.

Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home cost just $100 and go on sale on February 1.

The winner of the home will be announced live on WEEK in April.
