Streator K-9 gets new bullet proof vest

STREATOR, Ill. – The Streator Police Department’s K-9 has some extra protection thanks to a Massachusetts non-profit.

Streator K-9 Fips is being awarded a bullet proof and stab proof vest from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and Michigan based manufacturer Armor Express.

So far the two companies have provided 12 law enforcement dogs in the six states with ballistic vests.
