Subaru recalls thousands of vehicles for fire hazard

CHERRY HILL, NJ-- Subaru has recalled hundreds of thousands of vehicles due to a fire hazard.

Nearly 634,000 Subaru cars and SUVs are being recalled in the United States because lights beneath the doors can overheat and cause a fire.

The recall involves all Legacy and Outback cards from model years 2010 and 2011, Tribeca SUVs from model years 2006 to 2012, and Forester SUVs from 2009 through 2012.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says on its website that Subaru will install an additional fuse for free.
